New Agreement with the Regional History Museum of Sofia

Balkan Heritage Foundation solidified its partnership with the Regional History Museum Sofia with a framework agreement that outlines research, conservation, heritage management, and documentation projects, on December 18th 2019.

Recently on the 5th of December we co-coordinated the opening of the exhibit "Preserving the Past, Looking to the Future" at the museum, which put a spotlight on artifacts from seven different Balkan Heritage Field School projects. Together with the Regional History Museum Sofia we agreed on several joint programs including the study and preservation of the archaeological heritage of the microregion of Balsha and Dobroslavtsi, Bulgaria; study and preservation of medieval and late medieval churches in the district of Sofia and digitization of cultural properties through RTI.
