Exhibition of the Neolithic Settlement Ilindentsi and the BHFS in Strumyani, Bulgaria

On 23 October, 2014 the mayor of Strumyani and Dr. Malgorzata Grebska-Kulov, BHFS Advisory Board member and dig director of the BHFS excavation project in Ilindentsi opened the exhibition presenting the Neolithic settlement in Ilindentsi and the Balkan Heritage Field School (BHFS) project there through: photographs of the independent artist and BHFS photographer Lora Parmakova and Neolithic artifacts mostly found by the BHFS students at the site during the last 4 years. It is unbelievable to see how much information can we extract about the life of the Early Neolithic farmers in the area from such a small-scale excavation.

The exhibition will be on display in the recently refurbished School's building in Strumyani from October 23th till November 28th, 2014.
