Balkan Heritage Foundation Annual Gathering 2016

For ninth year the Balkan Heritage Foundation invited its partners, affiliates and friends to its pre-Christmas gathering. Among the guests were the Balkan Heritage Field School alumni and visiting instructors: Dr. Gene Berryhill, Dr. George Bevan, Queens University, Canada, Orlene McIlfatrick, John Gorczyk, and Brent Whitford.  Also in attendance were Ms. Angela Rodel, chair of the Bulgarian Fulbright Commission, Mr. Danny Zborover, Institute for Field Research, USA, & friends and colleagues from Diadrasis, Greece, National Institution Stobi, Republic of Macedonia, Bulgarian National Archaeological Institute with Museum, the Archaeological Museum of Septemvri, Meshtra Association, the regional history museums of Varna and Blagoevgrad and many others. The event started with presentations of the main results and achievements of the ongoing BHF projects.    

The gathering was followed by a light reception with wine, delicious appetizers, nice chats and wishes for the forthcoming holidays. Our team thanks everyone who contributed to our cause & work in 2016 and the past.
